Developments

Since 2012 Will and Josh have been focussing on delivering best in class homes to the people of the Cotswolds and surrounding areas; they put design and craftsmanship first in order to ensure each JWS home is perfect before the keys are handed to you.

Being a smaller developer enables us at JWS to offer a more personalised experience throughout the home buying process. We recognise that buying your next home is one of the biggest investments you will make in your lifetime and are passionate about making sure you feel great about it at each step of the way.

Lifestyles are ever evolving and our team are committed to designing homes around the fundamentals of how we now live as families or individuals. Market research tells us that most people prefer open plan living which is why most of our homes are designed to provide exactly that. We also recognise individual tastes and requirements so try to offer you choice whether it be finish of kitchens, flooring and layout of rooms if you can reserve early.

If you have a plot that has potential for development do get in touch and we can arrange a free no obligation appraisal of it's potential.

Previous developments

Tewkesbury

Pavilion View, Apartments 1-9

The One Swilgate Road development is a block of nine luxury apartments overlooking the cricket ground in Tewkesbury. Each flat has 2 bedrooms with generous amenity space and parking for each apartment.

Finished to a very high standard, these apartments boast a central location and sit out balconies with stunning views.

Bretforton

57 - 63 Weston Road

Another of our own sites, this project consists of two 4 bedroom and two 3 bedroom homes, full red brick built with generous frontages and very large rear gardens.

As with all our developments, market beating finishes are included as standard and larger proportions than nearly all new build properties available these days.

Moreton-in-Marsh

Blue Cedar Court

This project was taken on with JWS in the role of main contractor for another developer: Twin City Developments. One of those developer clients has since become a partner on an upcoming project (1 Swilgate Road) so we must have done something right!

This site consists of a block of six individual apartments and four semi-detached town houses, with gardens and parking, in the North Cotswold town of Moreton-In-Marsh. The full demolition of the previous house was also carried out by JWS.

Toddington

Maple & Oak Tree Houses

The first of 3 separate developments completed by JWS in the picturesque village of Toddington. A stone’s throw from the heritage train station of the GWSR, this site consists of two detached, four bedroom executive homes.

They are of local Cotswold stone and slate construction, with raised patios and glass balconies to the rear, overlooking the Isbourne valley.

Both plots were sold ‘off plan’ with various additional works carried out for the respective new owners once sales were completed. This included an additional garage block for one of the houses. We at JWS will always do our best to make sure new owners can move into their perfect home: exactly how they want it with minimal additional cost.

Toddington

The Old Stores

The Old Stores is a development of four sympathetically designed new build homes in the grounds of the original property which itself is being extended and split into two further homes.  A mixture of 3-4 bedroom detached and semi-detached properties with field views and generous private gardens.

The properties are heated by ASHP and are built from the local Cotswold stone brought from a quarry not more than 5 minutes away. All were finished internally to the high standards expected of a JWS build.

Farringdon

Volunteer Way

This brown field site in Farrindgon, Oxfordshire was developed in 2022, consisting of nine detached houses. Four 4 bedrooms, four 3 bedroomss and one 2 bedroom homes.

All nine detached houses are of brick and render construction, benefit from triple glazing, MVHR and air source heat pumps. The sustainable credentials and generous floor areas, no doubt contributed to their fairly swift sales, despite several other PLC developments built in the same period.

Toddington

Ashgrove & Oxley House

The second development of two large detached family homes in Toddington, similar in design to Oak Tree and Maple Tree House, which are situated on the opposite side of the road.

A small dilapidated stone cottage on this plot was demolished with great care to re-use, reclaim and recycle as much of the material as possible.

These two homes also benefit from air source heat pumps and their own garages. These were additions to the original design now that precedent had  been set (with Maple & Beech opposite) the planning application was more straight forward.

Both houses enjoy fully landscaped gardens and a spacious stone driveway.

New developments coming soon...

Coming Late Summer 2026

Marling Waters
Ebley

Formerly known as Ebley Wharf, the impressive externals will be carefully restored whilst the internals are fully converted and renovated to form a new arrangement of 34 houses and apartments.

The conversion of this Grade II* listed mill will deliver a wonderful "best of both" collection of homes; where a heritage setting retaining it's characterful features like mullion windows and exposed Oak trusses, sympathetically meet all the benefits of modern living such as underfloor heating from air source heat pumps and beautifully designed bespoke kitchens with modern top of the range appliances.

This prestigious site will be made up of 1 to 3 bedroom apartments and houses, nearly all with their own distinct layouts giving potential buyers a wide range of choice to suit.

These luxury homes will be set in their own gated grounds with views of Stroud waters canal and the surrounding countryside.
