Demolition and New Build Replacement,  Chipping Norton

 

A ‘one-for-one site’ (a planning term where a new building is built on the footprint of an existing plot), JWS took on the project including demolition of the old dwelling and then completed the construction of a new, traditionally built 3 bedroom property.

Architect designed, with a strong client brief for traditional materials and a modern design, this project also had a strong focus on renewables and sustainability within the house.

​

Using locally sourced natural stone, large glazed elements and timber cladding along with high specification internal fittings (including bespoke kitchen) resulted in an impressive, warm, modern space.

​

Unlike a lot of our own speculative new builds, the focus of this project was delivering the client’s vision for their new home. Working closely with the client on the internals, JWS made suggestions of modifications to the original design package – in order to hit the brief and ensure a home the client will enjoy for many years to come.

​

Building for an end user rather than the open market, meant we could engage all our knowledge and expertise to help the client refine what they really wanted from the property, which was rewarding for everyone involved.

As with all our new build projects, this includes a 10 year structural warranty as standard.
